Duane Beck & Jason Boone - Update on Envisioning Process - Feb. 28, 2010
Duane and Jason review the process the congregation has been engaged with in re-envisioning the future of what God is calling RMC to be about. What is it RMC is supposed to major in? They highlight a graphic that shows Jesus as being in the center of all we do, with Intergenerational Community, Ministry and Discipleship as inter-connected elements or outgrowths of being centered on Jesus.

Paula Snyder Belousek - Heeding God's call without fear - Feb. 7, 2010
Paula provides a powerful "snow make up" message (RMC was snowed out on Jan. 31) based on Jeremiah 1:4-10. Jeremiah questioned his ability to speak as a young boy. God gave him the words to speak and even today can provide us with the ability to open our eyes to what God would have us to do, and the courage to carry out that call.

Duane Beck - Fill the jars with water - Jan. 17, 2010
John 2:1-12. Ordinary people sensing God's call in ordinary places. The tipping point of this story of turning water into wine is when Mary told the servants to "do what Jesus tells you to do." The servants poured water into the jars as Jesus said and it became wine to transform the wedding celebration. When ordinary people do what Jesus tells them to do using their ordinary skills, creativity, jobs in ordinary situations to serve others it becomes wine and glorifies (highlights) God.

Duane Beck - What do you want to do when you grow up? - Jan. 10, 2010
Luke 3:15-22; Isaiah 43:1-7. What's your purpose? Why did God create you? God's call to us to participate in the kingdom is seen through the prism of Jesus' call at his baptism. Jesus responded to be part of God's work in this world. The Holy Spirit came upon him. Love shaped God's relationship with Jesus and was the basis Jesus went about his life.

Duane Beck - How shall I receive Thee? - Dec. 27, 2009
The familiar birth story from Luke 2 has some stunning implications: God comes among us in obscurity, is completely dependent on the care of others, and is vulnerable. Should the church look like its God? God still lives where Jesus is loved, cared for and given hospitality.
