One of the three anchor points identified. Building each other up through committed relationships, finding ways to connect, not just with those our same age and who are most like us, but across the age spectrum and outside our comfort zones.

Another of the anchor points identified in our re-visioning process, ministry is about our call, passion and gifts. What is God calling us to do to help bring healing and wholeness to our world?

Many of us are fiction readers. Many of us are in
book clubs where we read and discuss fiction and nonfiction in a group. But sometimes we may feel that with the Bible "there is nothing new under the Sun." This class will discuss specific Bible tales in book-club format. Do you like romances, historical fiction, political commentaries, biographies, stories with great epic plot, courage and drama? Then you may be surprised to find that many "stories" in the Bible are NOT the types of stories you remember from your
childhood Sunday School classes! This class will read and discuss great stories, and will also focus on how OUR own stories can impact the world we live in in the same way that the stories of people in the Bible affected their real world in the time in which they lived and continued impacting people of several faiths for centuries.

This class will assign all attenders to take photos each week related to a certain Biblical Passage. Each attender will then be asked to share their new photo (electronically) weekly with the group, and to discuss how THEY saw something in the moment in which they took the photo that made the Biblical Passage more alive and relevant to them.

Led by Jeff Mountz, this class will read and discuss the book "A Generous Orthodoxy" by Brian McLaren, which focus's on how truly following Christ can be the unifying factor in the various segments of Christianity. From the Publisher:
In a sweeping exploration of belief, author Brian McLaren takes us across the landscape of faith, envisioning an orthodoxy that aims for Jesus, is driven by love, and is defined by missional intent.
