THE BEATITUDES

A Winter Retreat
Led by Duane Beck

Friday, February 26, 7—9 pm
Saturday, February 27, 8:30 am—12:30 noon
In the Auditorium of Raleigh Mennonite Church
1116 N Blount St., Raleigh, NC

Duane says—The Beatitudes have been at the heart of my prayer and spiritual life for a long time. I have found that remaining rooted in this spiritual program of Jesus has provided a center in times of stress, chaos and conflict. The Beatitudes become a support structure when faith seems famished and temptation flourishes. They serve as a body repair shop when I get side-swiped by my self-centeredness. These eight steps become a path to inner wisdom to choose the best among all the good possibilities. The Beatitudes are intended as Jesus’ spiritual program to transform us by the Holy Spirit into people capable of living into the Sermon on the Mt.

Friday evening explore the meaning of the Beatitudes.

Saturday morning learn how the Beatitudes as
spiritual practices can shape our lives.
Interact with these eight steps through prayer, journaling, and silence.
