Service Adventure
Service Adventure is a ten-month program offered by Mennonite Mission Network for young adults aged 17-20. Participants take a break from the beaten path to serve others, build supportive relationships and live in community under the direction of unit leaders. Most importantly, they are challenged to reflect on what God wants from their lives.
Raleigh Mennonite Church has sponsored a Service Adventure house since 1997 and has hosted young adults from across the US, Canada, and Germany.
Here are some of the organizations where Raleigh participants have served recently:
- Building Together Ministries
- Urban Ministries
- Habitat for Humanity
- Growing Together Preschool
- Ten Thousand Villages
- Clubs in the City
- Central YMCA After School Program
- Methodist Home for Children
- Elder Care
- Lutheran Family Services
