Neighborhood Network is a ministry in the neighborhood where Raleigh Mennonite meets that provides food and creates community for seniors with limited incomes. Most of the members live at Parkview Manor Senior Center. The members create community at their bi-weekly meeting as they pick up and distribute food followed by a worship time.
Members do the work of organizing, distributing, and each household contributes $3 per meeting. To pay for the food from the Wake County Food Bank, Neighborhood Network utilizes the the financial support of Raleigh Mennonite and its partner the Hayes Barton United Methodist Church. The two congregations also provide a team of persons to support and encourage the Neighborhood Network.
